Trenton Electroplating constantly reviews it’s activities and their impact on the local environment and further afield. Where possible and technology permits harmful chemicals are either reduced in usage or eliminated. As an example of this, solvents and cyanides are no longer used by the company.
The company complies with all local and national regulations and works to the approved codes of practise of the industry. The company has been independently assessed under the COMAH regulations 1999 and is well below the lower tier threshold. As part of it’s overall environmental policy the company was awarded ISO14001:2004 for its environmental management system. It also holds an Environment Agency (Defra) licence under the Pollution Prevention & Control Regulation, without which it cannot operate.
